Willow Bay Rv Resort in Nine Miles WA and Thousand Trails Newport/Diamond Lake KOA July 2021(Blog post 159)

From July 5-8, 2021, We stayed 3 days at the Willow Bay RV resort via our Coast to Coast membership. The views were spectacular, but the park not so much, fortunately we paid 0 dollars. Some sites have only 1 pedastal for 3 sites that have to share causing 1 of the people to have to back into site.  This park is also has no sewer hookup, nor a dump station. If we have to stay at this park again, it will most likely just be for a 1 night stay. We left Nine Miles and headed to Newport, Wa to the Thousand Trails Newport and Diamond Lake KOA.  When you enter the park the registration is on the right where the KOA and dump stations are located. There is no sewer at this park and they make sure to tell you when you arrive and the many signs also indicating no sewer.    The sites are first come first serve with water and 30 amp service. We found a incredible site nestled in the trees, though the power pedastal was on the opposite site of the RV. Luckily we had an extension cord. We rode our b

Biking on the Trail of Coer'd'Alene in Wallace, Idaho July 2021 (Blog post #158)

We arrived to the Blue Anchor Rv park in Osburn, Idaho for the 4th of July holiday.  Just a 2 minute bike ride out of the park is the Trail of the Coer'd'Alene. The trail is 73 miles long and paralles the Cour'd'Alene river. We rode on the trail several times during our stay. Several hours after arriving we set out on our first ride, heading west, riding 6 miles. The views were so stunning. The next day on 4th of July, we set off, this time heading east on the trail. We rode through the town of Wallace. It was a really cute town, and looked like a great place to relax outside and eat, but it was too early in the morning for us to stop to eat.  We found many places along the trail with plenty of shade and picnic tables or benches to sit and enjoy the Coeur'd'Alene river.  We had such a wonderful time riding this trail and plan to ride more of the trail on future visits along the trail.

7/8/24 UPDATE WE WON! See unofficial ruling below! We won our Court case against Thousand Trails Management Services and Equity Lifestyles the Parent company for falsely terminating our membership!   On 6/27/24 We had our Court case where the judge read all the evidence submitted. The VP representative for Equity Lifestyle tried to evade the judges questions as to who owns the Soledad Canyon  RV park in Acton, CA. He kept trying to say that the name "Thousand Trails Soledad Canyon" does not exist. The judge asked- I am confused- who owns "The Soledad Canyon RV park", to which he responded " MHC  Thousand Trails". Judge asked who own "MHC Thousand Trails" to which the VP responded very quietly "Equity Lifestyle Management"! The judge asked about if there was an offer to settle and the VP said yes we believe we offered $2000 but they declined. The judge then asked if we attempted to contact to settle to which I responded yes Judge multipl

Returning to Great Falls, Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, Nimrod hot springs, Kayaking Geogetown Lake: Blog post 157 (June 2021)

We returned to Great Falls, MT, just a few weeks after visiting. My (Debbie's) sister Linda, flew from Los Angeles to Great Falls, Montana to spend a week with us. We had a few days left in Great Falls, to take her to visit and explore the "Great Falls". We also visited the Lewis and Clark interpretive center,  right on the Missouri River, along with a salmon hatchery. After leaving Great Falls, we travelled to Garrison, MT. Linda got to see what is involved in a travel day for an Rver. 1 day after we arrived the power went out to the park. Neil got massive and very heavy generator out and got us back on power. Within minutes 3 camp workers (Golf Cart Brigade) rode up to him to inquire how much longer he would be using his generator.   Neil told him when the power is restored to the park. One of the men said, the power is back on. We were flipping switches this morning, not realizing we had turned power off. (We can definitely laugh about it now). We found a locals hidd
