Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorials (9/24/20) Blog post 124

Still needing to put miles on our brand new 2020 Ford F-350 dually, we drove to Mount Rushmore and then Crazy Horse. I feel that these places are a must see at least once in your lifetime, like the Grand Canyons or Yellowstone.

We first arrived at Mount Rushmore. There was quite a bit of construction going on, which created a lot of confusion of  where to go to find the entrance. It cost $10 to park via kiosk, but the gates were open and there was no one collecting the tickets. There are hiking trails closer to the memorial if one is interested.

After Mount Rushmore, we headed to Crazy Horse. I believe it costed $20 to visit. There is a very nice viewing deck that allows great views of the memorial. There are also native indians giving demostrations. There are interesting facts about the memorial measurements, and a replica of what the memorial will look like when it is completed. We were able to get a great picture of the mountain where the outline of the horse will be. Here, if one is interested, can go hike to the memorial.
