San Antonio, Texas (11/20 to 11/24/20) Blog post 131

San Antonio/Alamo KOA would be home for the next 3 nights.  Our first night we took a nice evening walk around the KOA San Antonio/Alamo Campground. They have a very nice, serene, and relaxing catch and release fishing pond.

There is a very nice long bike/walking path along the KOA San Antonio/Alamo park called The Salado Creek Greenway Trail. The path parallels the Salado creek, which is very slow moving or stagnant. Came a cross one area with green mush. Saw a fish come to the surface; an area cleared of the mush and then just as fast, filled back in. Neil threw a rock in to see if it would do the same thing. We passed by a golf course and on the fencing around the golf course, we kept seeing these plant balls in trees, fences, on the ground.

Took another bike ride on the Salado Creek Greenway path all the way to the Pecan Valley Lake. We passed the Golf Course, Martin Luther King Park before arriving at Pecan Valley Lake, where we saw many diffent species of birds, but mostly ducks.
