Back to Emerald Cove in Earp, CA a Colorado River Adventure Park (3/7/21 to 3/14/21) Blog post 143

We returned to the Emerald Cove Resort in Earp, CA, for 1 week. This is our home park for Colorado River Adventure membership. It is bitter sweet being back here. The last time was when we had just started our Rv Adventure and still had all 3 of our girls.         While in Earp, we took a drive to the Copper Basin Reservoir, but missed the dirt road turnoff. Somehow we ended up at a private beach club on Lake Havasu. Along the way we saw many burros and a baby burro that was darn cute. After having a blast seeing the burros, we came across a cave, which Neil was brave enough to explore.   We took many nice morning and evening walks along the river. We also ventured out and kayaked on the Colorado River.   View of the Colorado River from our Campsite                Cave we found as we adventured around the town of Earp, CA A Day Kayaking on the Colorado River IT'S NOT FUN UNTIL SOMEONE GETS WET!

The Leaf Verde RV Park/Resort in Buckeye, AZ (3/4/21 to 3/6/21) Blog post 142

On 2/26/21 I placed an online reservation for the Leaf Verde rv park in Buckeye, AZ. My/our reservation was initially for only 3 days. 3/4/21-3/6/21 checking out on 3/7/21.  Immediately after booking the reservation, the manager of the park we were currently staying at, informed us that he in error booked us to leave the same day a permanent trailer is due to arrive by 9am. He refunded us 1 day and asked that we either leave anytime the day before or leave by 7 am on 3/4/21.  With my husband being injured, leaving by 7 am was not going to happen. I immediately called Leaf Verde Park, and left a voicemail message at 1-623-241-8735 at 11:32 am and left approximately a 2 minute message, explaining that I needed to add 1 more day to my reservation.    I never received a callback!  When I did not hear back by the next day (Saturday 2/27/21), I went back and booked 3/3/21. In the remarks I put: please connect with reservation for 3/4/21.  I called Leaf Verde back, but the message said closed

Apache Junction, AZ; Carefree Manor RV Resort and visited Canyon Lake in the Tonto National Forest (2/25/21 to 2/27/21) Blog post 141

After Leaving Mesa, we traveled a short distance to the Carefree Manor RV resort in Apache Junction, AZ.  This is a very cute, and clean park. It has mobile homes, Rv park type homes, and some RV sites. We were initially booked for 7 days, but the owner or manager told us that he in error booked us for 7 days, but the site is only available for 6 days. We need to be out of our site by 7 am on our last day, because there is a long term RV Park style home moving in that day. I am not sure why I don't have any pictures of the park, but I did take plenty of the really nice 0.33 mile walking track attached to the park. I was able to see many different kinds of birds, and several rabbits. We took a 30 minute drive to the Canyon Lake in the Tonto National Forest. I made my very first video that I edited and added music. It is not very long, but when you are learning, it can take several hours just to create a 20 second clip.  But I am so happy with the results.  I am not a huge lover of
